A well-done pitch deck can help you secure funding and get your business off the ground. But what should you include in your pitch deck? Here’s a checklist of the most important things to have:

1. An executive summary. This should be a brief overview of your business, including what it is, what problem it solves, and who your target market is.

2. Your Vision — Your most expansive take on why your new company exists.

3. The problem you’re solving. What need does your business address?

4. The solution you’re offering. How does your product or service solve the problem you identified?

5. Your company’s story. Why did you start this business? What are your mission and values?

5. Your target market. Who are you selling to? Your prospects and customers?

6. The competitive landscape. What are other businesses competing with you for customers?

7. The (huge) Market you are addressing — Total Available Market (TAM) >$1B if possible. Include the most persuasive evidence you have that this is real.

8. Your business model. How do you make money?

9. The financials. What are your projections for revenue, profits, and growth?

10. Your team. Who is behind this business? What are their credentials?

11. The ask. What do you need from investors? How much money are you looking for?

Make sure to tailor your pitch deck to your specific business and audience.
And be prepared to answer questions from potential investors. You can make your startup dreams a reality with a well-done pitch deck.
